For Strength , Balance, Joy...
for Life...Yoga.
Our mission is to provide a trauma-informed, holistic approach to strength, wellness and recovery through the ancient practices of Yoga, meditation and mindfulness for Sonoma County.
Yoga means "yolk" to unite. We begin with where we are by acknowledging the individual as a combination of parts- internal and external, thoughts and emotion, as tension and ease, as body and spirit.
Sonoma Yoga Therapy's gentle and integrated approach to building strength, gaining balance, establishing rhythm leads to a re-discovery of your best self as a creative, vibrant part of the world.
We owe it to ourselves to live our life to its fullest: for our community, for the people that came before us and the ones yet to be born. At SYP we create the conditions for healing at your own pace.
"I was experiencing pain in my right hip as well as my lower back. I'm an active person and enjoy yoga and hiking and my pain was affecting the very things I love to do. I began seeing Nichole to address my issues. She made me feel at ease and safe, and her passion is truly infectious! She first examined me physically as well as spent a lot of time to understand my daily lifestyle, habits, and family history. She worked with me on a tailored therapy plan and showed me how to use proper yoga postures and alignment to start the healing process. She also gave me a detailed written protocol to follow along at home, and it has worked wonders! Nichole is a true healer and I am so grateful I found her!"

"I met Nichole through a sacral joint class that she gave at a studio in Sebastopol. She was clearly knowledgeable about the physiology of the joint and yogic responses for addressing pain and flexibility. A few months later my sacral joint was really acting up. I had tried chiropractic without relief and all of my typical stretches were not helping. I sometimes experienced pain and difficulty in simply walking. The pain was sometimes so great that my mood was affected and my initiative to take even minimal actions to help myself. The pain was greatest in the morning, sometimes causing me to stumble as I took fist steps out from bed. Ibuprofen and a prescribed pain reliever were the first thing I downed every morning. Two sessions with Nichole and doing the stretches and movements she recommended for me have vanquished the pain and almost made me forget that I have a problematic left sacral. Such quick progress has really motivated me to take care of myself again. Nichole's knowledge, empathetic support, and customized recommendations have made the difference."
